Marni de Pencier
Marni de Pencier (nee Lithgow) graduated from Queen's in 1954, and went on to complete an M.A. and Ph.D from the University of Toronto; a decorated scholar, she subsequently held a number of administrative and teaching positions at the university. Marni was indefatigable in every endeavour, be it sports, parenting, learning, projects at her beloved Lake Joseph cottage, refurbishing a house, or helping others; indeed her kindnesses to her many friends, family, and people she interacted with were characterised by a keen attention to their needs and wants.
Donations in her memory will support the Department of Philosophy at Queen's University.
