In Memory of Mervin Dewasha
Mervin Dewasha, Sc’71 played a pivotal role in advocating for the establishment of the Indigenous Futures in Engineering Fund. In his memory, the family kindly requests that, instead of sending flowers, individuals consider making a donation to this cause, which held deep significance for him. The Indigenous Futures in Engineering Fund supports outreach programs aimed at inspiring young Indigenous individuals to develop an interest in mathematics and science, promoting engineering as a viable post-secondary option, and assisting Indigenous students in achieving success within the Smith Engineering programs.
