Queen's Competitive Dance Team
Dance is the universal art of movement, expression, communication, and creativity that involves moving the body in rhythmic ways to music or other sounds. It can serve many purposes, like expressing an emotion or idea, releasing energy, celebrating, entertaining, or simply enjoying the movements themselves. Dance can also be a form of exercise, fitness, or therapy.
The past three years have illustrated that dance is a natural part of life and is a vital element in connecting with others.
This is why the Queen’s Dance Team (QCDT) is particularly excited to return to a full competition schedule for the 2023/2024 season.
The team has high goals as it continues to foster the love of dance in the post-secondary environment. QCDT, comprised of 28 technically trained dancers, is working very hard to prepare to be in peak form for the QCDT Annual Showcase.
The team has set a goal of raising $10,000 for the 2023/2024 season to ensure that its passionate and hard-working dancers can continue to pursue excellence in all their endeavours.
Your support will go towards several key areas that will help QCDT reach the next level. These include funds for extra studio time, costumes, and travel to competitions.
Please give the gift of dance today and allow QCDT to represent Queen’s University and show the university competition scene just how great the Gaels are.
Go Gaels Go!
