The Queen’s Global Oncology Program comprises a dynamic team of internationally recognized researchers and educators committed to enhancing global equity in cancer care and control through Education, Research, and Policy. Our program collaborates closely with international partners to mitigate the impact of disparities in cancer control on patients, families, and societies worldwide.

Program Impact:

• The impact of the Program on cancer workforce development and significant expertise in implementing competency-based educational initiatives globally led to a partnership with the World Health Organization on workforce planning.
• The Program, through research, has informed policies on low-value cancer care practices, essential cancer medicines, access to radiotherapy equipment, and cancer drug pricing, which has enhanced global cancer care and control.
• The Program has also strengthened the cancer surveillance system through the establishment of cancer registries, which have aided research to improve the quality, timeliness, and equity of cancer care.

Our needs:

The Queen’s Global Oncology Program is actively raising funds to support Cancer Education, Research, and Policy initiatives with the goal of bridging gaps in cancer care and control in Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.

Donated funds will be directed toward projects designed to bolster the capacity of the cancer workforce through fellowship and training programs. Additionally, they will support research on cancer access, quality, outcomes, and value, informing cancer policies in Canada, Brazil, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
