Meds ’77 Ron Wigle Bursary
The Meds '77 Bursary was established by the Medicine Class of 1977 in November 2002 by members of the Class of Medicine 1977 on the occasion of their 25th reunion and re-named in September 2017 in memory of their honorary Class President, Dr. Ron Wigle, M.D. 1965. The bursary is awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need to undergraduate students in any medical year in the School of Medicine in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen's University.
The capital balance of the Meds ’77 Ron Wigle Bursary was $73,013 as of April 30, 2022. The capital balance was ranked 24th out of 42 endowed class funds in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Since its inception, the Meds ’77 Ron Wigle Bursary has disbursed over $32,045 to 20 medical students with demonstrated financial need at Queen's.
