Medicine Class of 1956
The Medicine Class of 1956 has established two bursary funds at Queen’s.
The Medicine 1956 Bursary was established by members of the class of Medicine 1956 in recognition of their 40th reunion. The bursary is awarded on the basis of financial need to students in any medical year in the Faculty of Medicine who are residents of Ontario.
- The capital balance of the Medicine 1956 Bursary was $91,748 as of April 30, 2022. The capital balance was ranked 19th out of 42 endowed class funds in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
- Since its inception, the Medicine 1956 Bursary has disbursed $61,710 to 31 students with demonstrated financial need at Queen's.
The Medicine 1956 50th Reunion Bursary was established in February 2007 by members of the class of Medicine 1956 in recognition of their 50th anniversary of their graduation. The bursary is awarded on the basis of financial need to students in any medical year in the School of Medicine in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen's University.
- The capital balance of the bursary was $77,401 as of April 30, 2022. The capital balance was ranked 23nd out of 42 endowed class funds in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
- Since its inception, the bursary has disbursed over $39,530 to 15 students with demonstrated financial need at Queen's.
