Law 1989 – Halldor K. Bjarnason Bursary
Established by Halldor K. Bjarnason, Law’89, the Law 1989 – Halldor K. Bjarnason Bursary is awarded based on demonstrated financial need to students in any year of a J.D. degree program or a combined J.D. degree program in the Faculty of Law. Preference will be given to students with disabilities and students who are single parents.
With your support, the Class of Law 1989 can lead the way in supporting law students with disabilities by removing financial barriers and providing access to an unparalleled legal education. The result will be a new generation of Queen’s Law graduates who are the long-term stewards of the ideals of this institution, its principles, and its commitment to advancing access to justice, public service, and legal excellence.
Donations can be made with a single payment gift or a multi-year pledge with payments spread over a maximum of 5 years. Contributions of any size are welcome, and all donations made within Canada and the US are fully tax deductible.
If you would like to discuss the many ways in which you can structure your gift, please contact Zabrina Testa for more information.
