The Commerce 1996 Entrance Scholarship

We rely on philanthropic support from our alumni and friends to ensure that exceptional students are able to attend and benefit from the Commerce program. For many exceptional students, a scholarship makes the difference in determining whether they will be able to accept their offer to attend Smith School of Business.

The Commerce 1996 Entrance Scholarship was established in 2007 in honour of the class’s 10th reunion and is awarded to a deserving first-year student in the Bachelor of Commerce program each year based on academic excellence and demonstrated community leadership. Since its creation, the Commerce 1996 Entrance Scholarship has supported 17 deserving students.

Your support, today, will help ensure the best and brightest students are able to attend Smith School of Business.

"It is an enormous honour to receive this scholarship, and I am incredibly grateful the Class of Commerce 1996 for investing in my education. I am very proud to be recognized for my past work. This support is extremely generous, and I want to make a difference with the scholarship. I want to succeed and make the world a better place while continuing to pay-it-forward and support ambitious students and my community.” - The Commerce 1996 Entrance Scholarship Recipient, 2020-21.
