Artsci'00 - Chemistry
For many, attending Queen’s was a transformational experience. The everlasting friendships and a strong sense of university spirit continue to flourish and grow long after graduation. Do you remember your first class or lab? What was it that made your Queen’s experience so special?
One thing that truly makes the Chemistry Department stand out is the quality of the professors. Sadly, we lost an important figure from our Chemistry Community – Dr. Suning Wang. Many of you will remember her fondly. The department hopes to establish a lecture series in Suning’s name to invite top chemists in her field of research to deliver an annual seminar and remind our students of her influence and celebrate her memory. Dr. Wang’s research focused on the development of new organometallic chemistry and luminescent materials chemistry. In recognition of the 20th Anniversary of our graduation from Queen’s, we encourage you to contribute to The Suning Wang Lecture Series fund. As a class, we would be honoured to help support this important initiative.
Your gift will make a meaningful difference and directly impact the teaching of future students.
Thank you for inspiring future generations!
