Professor Les Green Award in the Faculty of Law
In honour of his retirement, Queen’s Law is celebrating Professor Leslie Green’s exceptional career and scholarly achievements with the creation of the Professor Les Green Fund for Research Excellence.
One of the world’s most prominent contemporary philosophers, Professor Green has made substantial contributions to political and legal philosophy. His incredible work has explored jurisprudence, constitutional theory, human rights, moral and political philosophy, sovereignty, language and culture, freedom of speech, gender and equality, and the nature of law itself.
“Professor Green is a revered figure at Queen’s Law and a world-class scholar who has been a mentor to a generation of Queen’s legal philosophers. The breadth and significance of Les’ work, which spans legal, social and political philosophy, is only matched by his kindness and generosity. He is a cherished colleague, mentor and teacher who will have a lasting impact.”
~Mark Walters, Dean, Queen's Faculty of Law
