The Commerce 2009 Award
The Commerce Class of 2009 worked together to grow the Commerce 2009 Award in memory of Baha Bekenov. This fund is awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need, proven leadership skills, and involvement in school or community activities, to a student in the Bachelor of Commerce Program participating in an international study opportunity through a formal Queen’s bi-lateral exchange or by attending the Bader International Study Centre.
Affordable education is essential to ensure all prospective students have access to the Queen’s education, experiences, friendships and community.
The Commerce Bursary Fund
They are also be raising funds for the Queen's Commerce Bursary fund, which was established to assist Smith School of Business to provide bursary funding to eligible students. Tuition is now over $17,000 in the first year of the Commerce program. Affordable education is essential to ensure all prospective students have access to the Queen's education, experiences, friendships and community.
