Support Agnes Etherington Art Centre in research and development of Indigenous art collections.

To support sensitive care and development of Indigenous collections, The Dodge Family Indigenous Art Collection Research Fund provides the Agnes Etherington Art Centre with resources to enable learning from—and build meaningful connections with—Indigenous knowledge keepers.

Your gift will help the Agnes be a leader in Indigenous art strategies sustained by well-informed and culturally sensitive approaches to acquisition, display and care of Indigenous art and cultural material. The Agnes aims to build a distinctive, meaningful collection for research and learning at Queen’s University, and for opening new conversations on the road to Indigenous reconciliation.

Ts’msyan (Tsimshian) Artist, Raven Rattle, late 19th century, wood and paint. Gift of Dr Archibald Malloch, 1910 (M69-028). This rattle, used in Northwest Coast Indigenous ceremonies and celebrations, is an example of the objects examined by students during academic engagement tours.
