Endowed Lectureship in honour of Dr. Michael Baird
We are pleased to inform you that the Department of Chemistry has established and endowed a lecture series in Mike Baird’s honour.
For 49 years Mike Baird has been a colleague, mentor and friend to faculty, staff and students at Queen’s University. Mike is an outstanding researcher with well over 250 peer-reviewed publications and ten patents. He is a much respected teacher who has guided some 90 graduate theses and 25 postdoctoral research projects. He has taught thousands of undergraduate students at all levels during his career at Queen’s, and has been awarded the Chemistry Department award for Excellence in Graduate Student Supervision five times.
