Faculty members from the School of Nursing created an
Internship to engage undergraduate nursing students in research and scholarship
activities and promote and develop research experience. This initiative was
made possible due to the Summer Work Experience Program (SWEP).
Students were involved in research investigating depression in shift workers –
specifically in the field of healthcare – as well as attendance at MSc defenses
and a 5-day systematic review training course among many other transformative
activities.
Because of donor support like yours, our students had the opportunity to get
frontline experience in research from a nursing perspective at an undergraduate
level.
When you give to the School of Nursing 75th Anniversary Fund (which in part
will be used to provide increased undergraduate financial assistance), you’re
helping students like Molly. You’re not only transforming their current
academic experience but you’re changing their career path.
