Reunion: We celebrated our 40th anniversary at Homecoming Weekend in Kingston on October 14 – 16, 2016 with 27 members of our class. It was wonderful to catch up with our friends and we look forward to seeing even more at our 45th anniversary in 2021 if not before.

Class Fund: The Douglas Traill Memorial Bursary

The Douglas Traill Memorial Bursary was established by the class of Law ’76 in memory of the late Douglas Melvin Traill, LLB ’76, awarded primarily on the basis of financial need.

Class Goal: To commemorate our 40th anniversary we launched a fundraising campaign to top up the class bursary. Our goal was twofold: to achieve a high rate of class participation and to raise $15,000 towards the endowment. We are pleased to announce that $17,600 was contributed by 13 members of our class! Our sincere thanks to everyone who helped us to achieve this goal.

With law school tuition now exceeding $18,000 per year, financial aid is more important than ever.

We would like to continue with our successful campaign and set a new goal of raising an additional $25,000 over the next 5 years. We encourage you to contribute to the Douglas Traill Memory Bursary and help to ensure that quality education remains within reach of promising young minds, regardless of their individual backgrounds. Gifts of all sizes are welcome and pledges can be spread over the next five years. All donations are fully tax deductible.
