Kent Plumley died peacefully after a long illness surrounded by family on September 2 at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife Sandra, and their 2 daughters Christa and Julia and their families. First and foremost, Kent was a devoted husband and father and later in life a doting grandfather.
Kent was also one of a special cadre who founded and built a thriving hi-tech community in Ottawa/Kanata. He and Sandra were proud alumni of Queen’s University and contributed generously to their alma mater as volunteers and benefactors. Kent was one of the best to ever don the tricolour and is a member of the football hall of fame and will be inducted again as a builder along with Sandra in September.
