Join us as we honour Dr. Walter A. Szarek’s career in chemistry. He joined Queen’s University in 1967 and continues to serve as a Professor Emeritus.
Dr. Szarek has had a distinguished teaching career at both the undergraduate and graduate levels as well as a distinguished research career, and has won numerous awards for both his teaching and his research accomplishments. Dr. Szarek received his B.Sc. and M. Sc. from McMaster University and his Ph.D. from Queen's University in Organic/Carbohydrate Chemistry.
The Department of Chemistry wants to establish the Walter A. Szarek Endowed Lecture Series to be able to bring other esteemed speakers to Queen’s University on a regular basis.
