Reunions are a time to reconnect with old friends and a time to give back to the university and current students. In recognition of 30 years since graduating from Queen's, our reunion giving campaign will support the Mary Alice Student Lounge Renovation Project and the Faculty of Law Bursary in memory of our classmate Timothy Walker.

The Mary Alice Murray Student Lounge Renovation Project

A revitalization of one of the most well-loved spaces in the law building.

Named in 1997 to honour Mary Alice Murray, one of Queen’s Law’s first female graduates and a longtime administrator, the student lounge has long been a hub for students to gather, study, and build friendships. The Faculty of Law is raising $200,000 to refresh and modernize the space with new furniture, kitchen upgrades, enhanced technology, a redesigned alumni area, and overall improvements.

In 2015, during our last "in-person" milestone reunion year, members of Law’95 contributed $14,135 to Queen's. This year, I challenge the class to exceed this amount.

Generosity at any level is appreciated. Every contribution — large or small — honours the legacy of Law’95 and supports the next generation of Queen’s Law students. Whether you’re making a first-time gift, renewing your support, or planning a future gift through your estate. Together, we’ll help ensure this cherished space continues to serve future generations of Queen’s Law students.

In Memory of Timothy Walker, Law ’95 — Support the Queen’s Faculty of Law Bursary

Timothy Walker, Law ’95, was larger than life—positive, generous with his time, and a friend to many. He devoted his career to public service, most recently as Deputy Director at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, where his thoughtful leadership, integrity, and kindness set a standard that inspired colleagues across the public sector and reflected the very best of Queen’s Law.

In honour of Tim’s legacy, his colleagues and friends are coming together to support the Queen’s Faculty of Law Bursary. Your gift in Tim’s memory will help ensure that talented students with financial need can pursue their legal education at Queen’s and carry forward the spirit of service and excellence he exemplified.

Each gift makes a tangible difference:

  • It reduces the financial barriers that too often deter promising students from attending law school.
  • It empowers emerging leaders to focus on their studies, mentorship, and community engagement.
  • It strengthens Queen’s Law’s commitment to diversity, equity, and opportunity.

A gift in Tim’s memory is more than a tribute. It is an investment in the next generation of lawyers who will serve with the same dedication, humility, and purpose that defined Tim’s career.

Please join Tim’s colleagues in honouring his life and impact by making a gift today to the Queen’s Faculty of Law Bursary.

Your support keeps his legacy alive in every student who is able to attend, learn, and lead because of your generosity.
