In celebration of our 50th Reunion, we have chosen to direct our funding towards Queen’s exciting new facility Mitchell Hall, (formerly known as Queen’s Innovation Commons), and the Engineering-related programming that is happening within that space. Collectively we have already raised, $57,765 from 13 generous donors towards this initiative. We are hoping that we can raise an additional $142,235 from the rest of our class by December 2019, which will bring our total contribution to $200,000. This funding will help to support the purchase of upgraded equipment for engineering lab spaces within the building; heightening experiential learning opportunities for students. If we reach our goal, our contributions to this programming will be recognized with a named space in honour of Sc`69 on the second floor of Mitchell Hall. A tour of this location will take place on Saturday, October 19 at 9:30am during the Dean’s Breakfast event.
As a class, we have historically been very generous to Queen’s. Our collective giving to the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science totals $2,693,019, and our total contribution to Queen’s is a very generous $3,060,271. We want to ensure that we continue to build our class legacy and make a lasting impact, especially in honour of our 50th Reunion.
