Our class has established the Science `74 Leaderships Traditions Fund, which provides discretionary funding to the Dean of Smith Engineering to support and encourage the tradition of student leadership through student-directed activities in the Faculty. Recently, the fund distributed $13,500 to various student groups, providing them with finances to expand on their programming and events. The experiential learning opportunities our class supports are crucial to a student’s experience at Queen’s. While academic learning is extremely important, participation in clubs and teams creates invaluable learning opportunities and lessons that many students bring forward into their future careers. We are proud that our class has been able to support these student activities.
As a class, we have contributed $520,863 to Smith Engineering and an impressive $16,536,896 to Queen’s. Let’s continue that spirit of generosity and build our class fund and legacy. Our current fund balance is $342,597. Please help us grow our fund to the next milestone of $500,000.
