June Richards, an esteemed pianist, music colleague, teacher passed away in September 2021. As we process the loss of someone so unique, we wanted to find a way to recognize and honour June’s artistic contributions at Queen’s and to continue her dedication to nurturing and supporting the musical education of generations of piano students. To do this, we will be establishing an award supporting students enrolled in any year of a Bachelor of Music degree or Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree with an academic plan in Music. Preference will be given to students who study piano.
We invite you to join us in honouring June’s contributions and leadership through a gift to establish this new Scholarship, at a level that is personally meaningful for you. All gifts are welcome and will be combined to make a difference in recognizing deserving students.
