QMIND is an undergraduate student-run interdisciplinary organization focused on making AI accessible at the undergraduate level. QMIND is Canada’s first and largest undergraduate artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) organization with over 200 members and a portfolio of services and offerings. The organization consists of 30+ design teams across four different streams; innovation project teams, client-facing AI consulting teams, research teams, and disruptive technology teams. Over the course of eight months, all teams work towards the collective goal of developing AI solutions for real-world problems. QMIND also offers our members extensive, university-level educational resources on AI and ML to ensure our organization fosters the nation’s top students and developers. Creating opportunities for development and gaining real-world experience is one of our most significant initiatives, including regular speaker seminars, industry-level workshops, professional development support, and much more.

As the landscape of AI at the undergraduate level continued to grow, in 2018, QMIND founded the Canadian Undergraduate Conference on AI (CUCAI). CUCAI is the largest undergraduate AI conference in Canada. It takes place each year in Toronto, ON, with over 500 attendees.

In our pursuit of continuous growth and development, QMIND founded inQUbate in 2019, Canada’s first student-run AI startup incubator. We empower a cohort of 30+ high-caliber student entrepreneurs to bring AI solutions to reality in the B2B and B2C SaaS space.
