The Iranian Student Memorial Scholarship Fund

Queen’s is mourning the loss of student Amir Moradi, one of 176 passengers and crew killed in the crash of Ukraine International Airlines flight PS752 in Tehran, Iran on Jan. 8, 2020.
Amir, who was studying biotechnology and hoped to become a doctor, was among several members of the Canadian university community — including from the University of Toronto, the University of Western Ontario, the University of Ottawa, and the University of Guelph — killed in the crash.
In honor of those who were lost, Queen’s has established the Iranian Student Memorial Scholarship Fund to provide financial aid to Iranian students. Queen’s will match all donations to this fund up to $250,000.
