Law'93
In memory of Professor Arthur Cockfield
As the entire Queen’s Law community continues to mourn the sudden loss of Art Cockfield, the passing of our dear classmate and friend has a special significance for our class. He often spoke of how proud he was to be part of our class and of how we continued to stay closely connected, celebrating our individual and group successes, collaborating on work, and more. Art loved reuniting on Homecoming Weekends, which had extra meaning starting with our 10th anniversary reunion in 2003, when he first welcomed us back in his role as a professor at our law school.
In Art’s memory, colleagues, friends, and family have come together to establish the Professor Arthur Cockfield Memorial Award in Law, which will provide support for law students with demonstrated financial need and academic achievement. Donations can be made with a single payment gift or a multi-year pledge with payments spread over a maximum of 5 years. Contributions of any size are welcome.

If you have a memory or a story about Art that you would like to share with his family, the Faculty would be interested in hearing from you. Share your memories with Queen's Law here.
Thank you for supporting students in memory of Art. Your contributions to this meaningful initiative are truly appreciated.
