The Queen’s University Biological Station (QUBS), Canada’s largest inland field station, for 75 years has welcomed researchers and students from universities across Canada and around the world. The core mandate of Biological Station is to facilitate excellence in research and teaching spanning themes in biology, the environmental sciences, geography, and related disciplines. Each year QUBS hosts many intensive field courses, field trips for large, classroom-based courses, and leading-edge undergraduate and graduate research. As part of the Frontenac Arch UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, its diverse and extensive land holdings are managed to ensure their conservation in perpetuity for future generations of students and researchers.

Thanks to your generosity we can offer undergraduate and graduate students outstanding hands-on field learning experiences and opportunities for independent research.

At the Queen’s University Biological Station, academic excellence, unrivalled initiative and a strong commitment to succeed drive researchers and many of the brightest students from Canada and abroad to make a difference.
