Established in March 2003 by Arthur E. Smith, B.Sc. (Mech. Eng.) 1934, and awarded on the basis of financial need to students in the second, third or fourth year of the Mechanical Engineering program in Smith Engineering.
the Martin Bursary
Established in May 2001 by Gladys Martin and Joan Martin Sargeant in memory of their father, Thomas Martin, to reflect his support and a life-long interest in the education of women. Awarded on the basis of financial need to a woman student.
the Jean Royce Memorial Bursary
Established by Frank A. Ritchie, B.Sc.(Eng) 1942, in memory of Jean Royce, B.A.(Gen) 1930, LL.D. 1968. Awarded on the basis of emergency financial need to a student in the first year program in Smith Engineering.
